The PCB Chairman appointed a two-person fact-finding panel to examine the Pakistan Super League 6’s bio-security policies, bylaws, and arrangements and make recommendations on how to further ensure the implementation of a bio-secure environment for future events. The BoG was given a presentation and an update on the report of the two-person fact-finding panel tasked with reviewing the Pakistan Super League 6’s bio-security procedures, bylaws, and arrangements and making recommendations on how to best ensure the bio’s implementation.
The BoG carefully reviewed and debated the panel’s recommendations. They expressed their displeasure with the report’s flaws and suggested that corrective measures be taken.
The BoG accepted all of the fact-finding panel’s recommendations, including implementing the protocols with rigour and strictness and enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against anyone who violates the Covid-19 SOPs, which are in place to protect all participants’ health and safety.
As per the BoG, the PCB was nearing completion of appointing an internationally recognised safety management company that specialises in providing Covid-safe technology solutions, bio-secure monitoring and management, as well as response and reaction to positive tests, as part of a plan to ensure the PSL 6 was resumed and completed in a safe and secure environment.
PSL 6 matches will start on June 1st, with the final scheduled for June 20th, and a mandatory seven-day quarantine period for all participants will begin on May 22nd in one hotel.
